Oh mama mia, the deaf can 'hear' the Gospel and you surely know that. Someone who is reading the Bible can 'hear' the Gospel. Does the Jeremiah quotation have anything to do with answering the question? Surely you don't think Jer. 5:21 is talking about literal blindness and deafness! To answer the question in the subject line, yes, hearing is necessary for salvation. "How shall they believe in whom they have not heard?" Good day. |

When translated, the word hearing means not only with the ears but with the heart. You don't need sound to hear the Word of God. That's the trouble with many believers today, they only hear with theirs ears. We all need to listen with our heart, which also is our spirit, the only part of our triune being that God actually speaks to. God does not speak to our flesh, just our spirit, our hearts... who needs ears... |
