1 | The table of nations from Noah's sons | Acts 17:26 | itiswritten | 29105
In Genesis 11:10 we have the beginnings of the geneaologies of the nations. The nations all have come from one of three sons of Noah. Does anyone have a good listing by which we can clearly see the nations today and which son of Noah they are from?
2 | The table of nations from Noah's sons | Acts 17:26 | Makarios | 29106
Greetings itiswritten! All the people of the world since the Flood have descended from the three sons of Noah (Acts 17:26). The three sons of Noah were Shem, Ham and Japheth (Gen. 10:1). * The sons of Japheth settled in an area that stretched across Eurasia from the Black Sea and Caspian Sea to Spain: 1. Gomer (lived in the eastern part of Turkey near the Black Sea and also in the upper Euphrates region [Ezek. 38:5-6]) 2. Magog (Area now occupied by Russia [Ezekiel 38:2]). 3. Madai (the later Medes, in the area of present day Iran, all the way to the Caspian Sea). 4. Javan (Ionia [southern Greece], southern Italy, Cyprus, western Asia Minor, and south of Spain [Tarshish - Jonah 1:3]). 5. Tubal (Pontus [eastern Asia minor]). 6. Meshech (Moschian Mountains [from eastern Asia minor north to the Black Sea]). 7. Tiras (the Thrace of later times). * The sons of Ham spread out from southwestern Asia and later spread west along the Mediterranean coast of northeast Africa: 1. Cush (the upper Nile region, Mesopotamia, south of Egypt, and Arabia [Ezekiel 27:20-22]). 2. Mizraim (means "two Egypts," a reference to Upper and Lower Egypt). 3. Put (either Libya or the land the ancient Egyptians called Punt (modern Somalia)). 4. Canaan (Palestine, bordering the Mediterranean Sea). * The sons of Shem occupied the area north of the Persian Gulf (Gen. 10:22): 1. Elam (settled in the area east of Mesopotamia [Persia]). 2. Asshur (an early name for Assyria in northern Mesopotamia). 3. Arpachshad (southern Mesopotamia). 4. Lud (Lydians of Asia Minor [western Turkey]). 5. Aram (located northeast of Canaan, in the area known today as Syria). In this way, we can get a better understanding through history of how the nations and peoples spread out and where they began to populate the earth again.. 3 | Gog and Magog from Genesis to Revelation | Acts 17:26 | Pastor Glenn | 79680
After doing a search for Gog and Magog I found the following scriptures: Genesis 10:2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 1 Chronicles 1:5 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. Ezekiel 38:2 "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh,[38:2 Targum, Vulgate, and Aquila read [chief prince of ] (also verse 3).] Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, Ezekiel 39:6 "And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the LORD. Revelation 20:8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. Is there something that we should recognize about the battle of Rev 20:8 by considering all of these scriptures together? Is there anything significant to be considered here? Why would Gog and Magog be important enough to mention in the book of Revelation? One strange thing I notice is how Satan is able to decieve the nations to battle even after 1000 years of Christ's rule. Pastor Glenn |

Quote"One strange thing I notice is how Satan is able to decieve the nations to battle even after 1000 years of Christ's rule.end of quote. As I understand that verses satan was loosed out of prison after the 1000 years. Re 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, He deceive nations outside the camp of the saints not inside the camp. Re 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. Some preacher here conclude that Gog and Magog could be the biggest part of the earth that did not believed that there is God. God bless, |
