1 | O.T. Israel salvation? | John 6:49 | charis | 35025
Dear Greg, Greetings in the name of Jesus! Is this verse (then) telling us that in Moses' time, those saved from Egypt crossing the Red Sea soon 'lost' their salvation? (except for Joshu and Caleb) Even Moses died in the wilderness. Did some 'lose' their salvation, then 'regain' it? I'm sorry that I wrote such a broad question. :-) You were speaking of Israel after the revelation of Christ, but what about the salvation of Israel in Exodus? in Joshua? What part does the Promised Land play in the salvation of Israel? Israel was saved "out" of Egypt, but this entire generation (except two) were not saved "into" the Promised Land. The wandered in the desert for 40 years. Were they 'un-chosen?' In Christ Jesus, charis |

2 | O.T. Israel salvation? | John 6:49 | zach† | 35028
Dear charis; Just a couple of quick comments if I may. I personally believe that salvation once lost is not something which can be regained. No one ever becomes "unchosen" A child doesn't become unborn, but can become sick and die, both physically or spiritually or both. With utmost respect In Christ zach† |

3 | zach†, is this a contradiction? | John 6:49 | Searcher56 | 35035
zach†, You said "I personally believe that salvation once lost is not something which can be regained." ... and "No one ever becomes 'unchosen'." Is this a contradiction? Can one lose their salvation (become unchosen) or not? Or am I missing something? Searcher |

4 | zach†, is this a contradiction? | John 6:49 | zach† | 35057
Dear Searcher; Yes it is an obvious contradiction, and also a typo on my part. It was late at night when I typed it. What I meant to type was: "salvation once lost CANNOT be regained." Thank you for pointing that out to me. In Christ zach† |
