1 | Witnessing: What is your style? | John 1:7 | srbaegon | 21693 | ||
Method shift................................. For a long time, my method has been the direct way, which was the only one I knew being saved in a Baptist church. However, I was disturbed by the abundance or "professors" instead of "possessors". Recently, I was taught a more low-key, friendship method of reading the Bible together and letting God's word do all the work. I haven't had opportunity to use it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Good point Steve! Yes, I agree! We can all begin with a certain way or "method" of witnessing, but as we become more mature in the faith and more 'well rounded' spiritually, we begin to see the wisdom of letting God use us in many different ways! And we just have to be spiritually ready and willing to follow the call of God- to witness for Him in whatever way that a situation demands! I'm learning just as you are, my friend, and your willingness to want to learn new ways of witnessing is a credit to your spiritual walk! Your spirit and willingness to try a different way of witnessing reminds me of Isaiah when Isaiah was standing before the Lord's throne and the Lord said, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?", and Isaiah replied, "Here am I. Send me!" Blessings to you, Nolan |
