KJV the ONLY authentic Word of God? 'I do not disparage the King James Version. But I find the claim that it is the only authentic Word of God odd for several reasons. One is that this would mean the translation is authentic, but the Hebrew and Greeks texts from which it was translated are not. Another is that it would mean there was no authentic Word of God until 1611, more than a millennium and a half after Christ’s life! Finally, it would mean that people who speak French, German, or Urdu could read the authentic Word of God only in this archaic English version.' ____________________ King James authorized his version, not God Date: 6/9/00 Comments By Rev.
