1 | What is Jesus' message to us? | John 19:26 | John Hermes | 11676
Every time I read these verses I could not help but think that Jesus commended us (mankind as represented by John) to the care of His Mother. On the other hand, He admonished us (mankind as represented by John) to hearken to His mother. Why do I get this idea? Is it possible?
2 | What is Jesus' message to us? | John 19:26 | Makarios | 11678
Good observation.. Jesus is clearly speaking to John here, but you view this as a burden that all mankind must carry. I'm not sure how you can attribute Jesus' message to all mankind, since there is nothing in Scripture to show that He was speaking to or referring to anyone other than John.
