1 | Jesus Died for all, why speak in parable | John 17:9 | flyman172 | 212184 | ||
Dear Cheri, Your kind words of comfort are greatly appreciated. Thank you. I don't know why my brain keeps on churning and churning with questions. I know my thought process was given to me by God and I know He says to study, but why when I study I come up with so many questions? I do believe, I do have faith, and I do trust, but I also do have an intense desire to know. Isn't there a bible verse where God says to study to show thyself approved and to be able to answer others as to what and why we believe? I interpret that to mean that I must know in order to be a witness for my Lord. It is not a matter of just trusting, for me it is a matter of the "why" as well. Why if "God so loved the world," if "Jesus died for the sins of the world," and why if we are to "preach the gospel to all the world," my question was why would Jesus want to speak in parables? The answer I got was that since God had already determined whose names are written on the book of life, it didn't matter one way or the other. I just have to trust, as you say, that I am on that list. Praise God. flyman |
