1 | Is the Word-Faith movement biblical ? | John 10:27 | Hiram Abiff | 7815
Is the Word-Faith movement biblical? I have recently realized the Church I have been attending for the last month is WF based. It seems God is bound by His own laws to give me anything I desire if I have faith (they see faith as a gift of the spirit) enough to receive my blessings. By the way I am looking for a new Church since the experience of being in a “Toronto experience” type service last Sunday that was conducted by a visiting evangelist who is a major player in the WF movement.

I have to put my two cents in, also. I think when you start tearing down people by things that they say, you had better be 100 per cent certan that everything you say or said or will say is exactly understood the way you meant it. Although I don't agree with everything some of the evangelists say or do, and I know I don't understand a lot, I think I can understand a little of the comment quoted that Mr. Hinn said. In every part of the Trinity, you have the other Two. Word-Faith? Is that like say it and you have it? It still all depends on whether it is the Father's will that you do have it. Healing? Don't cast that out. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. If He chooses to heal by medicine, doctors, naturally (?), or miraculously, it is all done by Him. Even Paul was not healed, even though he prayed and also advised Timothy to take wine for his stomach. But he also said to call the elders to pray over the sick and annoint with oil. In otherwords, expect God to do the miraculous or heal in any way He would choose. God is not obligated to give us anything. He already gave us the greatest Gift. But if we walk in fellowship with Him, know what His will is, our prayers will have a better chance of being answered. And if they aren't, His grace is sufficient. |

3 | Benny Hinn not far off base here? | John 10:27 | Ray | 7866
I see some interest on the forum concerning Benny Hinn's quote about the Trinity having what I would call "nine pronouns involved." Can I revive an interest in a question of mine about the seventeenth chapter of the gospel of John? I submit to you that the pronouns in the chapter can be divided by three, and the prayer itself has a total pronoun count of Deity that is divisible by nine.
