1 | You can lose your salvation | Luke 23:26 | Chucky1146 | 2620 | ||
I never said that I believed once saved always saved. I believe you can lose your salvation, because Jesus said If you abide in me I will abide in you. Being born of the spirit and water is simple...When you are born from your mothers womb, that is being born of water. Being born of the spirit is when you ask Jesus into you heart, and are saved, then the command is to go and be baptized. Like I said befor, if you are in a place where there is no water..How can you be baptized? Lets say a man is ready to go into battle, and is in a foxhole with a Christian. The Christian asks him, are you saved? He says no, then the Christian leads him to the Lord, and the man accepts Jesus as his savior. There certainly is no water in that foxhole, and when the charge is sounded he has to go into battle. He is not baptized, and if he is shot, and killed, you are telling me he is going to hell because he wasn't baptized...NO WAY...When he accepted Jesus in the foxhole he was saved, if he is shot and killed he is going to heaven. |

Luke 23:26-46 I feel clearly shows the thief was not baptized, but Jesus said "today you will be with me in paradise". Water baptism shows pubicly that you have died to sin and come up from baptism, a new person in Christ. Salvation can be lost if a person chooses to go back into sin. God can and will keep a person in the palm of His hand if we follow Him. God bless |
