hi there obi 1,what exactly are the "keys" according to your understanding? i am not trying to be "stand-offish" or anything, as i also have met with aggression in this forum. according to the understanding imparted to me, the keys are the secrets of divine knowledge and faith, and also signify a direct link or relationship with God and Christ, and do not necessarily belong to any one particular "church" Luke 11:52. for God-thru-Christ chooses who so ever he will,Romans 9:16. As far as the Bible being changed goes, you are right to some extent; but we must believe that if the Bible is the word of God, then God has the ability to prevent his word from being distorted to the point that it no longer represents his will! This also is the reason that he has blinded the hearts of many, for they cannot change or manipulate that which they cannot comprehend! Please don't let the "behavior" of some discourage you from posting on this forum. Even today the spirit of the pharisees is with us!

Please take the time to really read the post of Obi and those that responded. If you cannot see the deceit in Obi's post and the intentional twisting of God's word in Obi's post then you need to understand this. Obi was exposed for false teachings and deceitful practices. There is a good reason for this. It's for anyone who may not be able to see the evil intent. To expose it for what it is. There is a difference in someone misinterpreting the scriptures and someone twisting the word of God. There is even a difference in people differing on the scriptures. But Obi's actions go beyond discussing and differing. I pray that you can understand this and I pray that Obi will one day see the truth in what he is doing. I ask you, is a Christian to be humble in the face of evil? |

absolutly not, but how do we know if one sincerly wants to know the truth, unless we "talk" to them and find out what they do or do not know? there are some here, who take pleasure in telling others to leave the forum, as their own posts prove. debate is healthy, it keeps you sharp. Titus 1:9 i think it is safe to say that most of us in here are either Christians, or looking to Christianity for answers. so why discourage someone at the first sign of non-conformity? we are all coming from different walks of life, and had to shed false indoctrination in some cases. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. there is however a difference between rebuking a brother, and convincing a gainsayer, or one looking for answers. there is a difference in misinterpretation and deliberate twisting, but is it being done deliberatly, or is that what he was taught? that is my point, i see the provoking nature of his comments, as i also see in others; to whom i do not respond.

A Quick Look at the Book of Mormon ' According to Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon is more correct than the Bible (History of the Church, Vol. 4, page 461) and contains the truths of Mormonism. However, if that is true, then why does the Book of Mormon contradict Mormon theology? ' This is because the theology of Joseph Smith didn't really start to go off the deep end until after the Book of Mormon was printed. To harmonize their changing theology with their written scripture, the Mormons gradually redefined common Christian words. That is why the definitions of Mormon words are different than those of Christianity. See Terminology Differences between Mormons and Jehovah's Witness for more information on this. (...) ' The founder of Mormonism said the Book of Mormon was the most correct book of any book, including the Bible (History of the Church, Vol. 4, page 461), and that a man could get closer to God by following it than any other book. Yet, essential Mormon doctrines aren't even found in it. ' This is because the Book of Mormon is nothing more than a fictional account made up by Joseph Smith. It wasn't until after the book had been printed that the additional heretical doctrines of Mormonism started to develop. That is why the Book of Mormon sounds so Christian -- at first.' ____________________ To read more go to: www.carm.org/lds/bom_look.htm lds |
