why was this church and pastor turned away from the gates of heaven when they seem to be doing the same thing every church of today is doing, what was the will of the father that they did not do? Clearly they believed in Jesus and did everything in his name, but not one was allowed in Why?

Hi, cem... Welcome to the forum! You say that doing and believing what other Christians do and believe ought to be sufficient grounds for redemption. However, in the passage you are citing our Lord says that the kingdom is composed of those who do the will of the Father (v21). The people doing and believing what they see Christians do and believe, are clearly deficient. Christ even asserts that they practice lawlessness (v23). Clearly there is something more than just doing and believing, not something that replaces those things, but something that is over and above those things. I suggest that you consider this question in the light of John 6 and 10. Seek out all that is true of those who are His own. Realize that doing and believing is not sufficient unto itself. Discover what God Himself does in redemption for His own. In Him, Doc |

3 | Is this possible? | Matt 7:21 | cem | 239879
Thank you for the welcome and may God bless you and yours. Matthew 11:25-27 I have not been given the ability to determine who is or who is not a Christian, not saying that maybe some have therefore for me to place that much weight on what other people do and believe would be like the blind leading the blind, which might very well be the case. according to Matt 11; 25-27 there are things that were kept from us. I agree that these thing do not replace those things, but are without doubt over and above those things, Amen What I am saying is that the will of the father in this passage has been hidden from us.What was done in this church is done clearly in most churches. without knowledge of the clear and certain will of the father we are all the blind leading the blind are we not. Christ says it is the will of the Father that takes domain over the beleaf in the Son, over and above as you said it, but not to be replaced and I agree, but unless the Son reveals to us the clear and undeniable will of the father we are those who have eyes but can not see, are we not? Consider this DOC REV 21: 5-8 is this not the clear undeniable will of the Father? Is this not a oath from God him self? He says (All Things New),( faithful and true) write this down. Doc is there any chance any chance at all that the church in Matt 7:21-23 had knowledge that selling the water in the eyes of the lord was evil and bitter thing, yet choosing to continue sell the water and the members of that church having heard the words of the book still choose to support that church and in doing so were also dismissed. Is it possible that words that spoken In REV 21:5-8 He really meant and are true and fathful? So by hearing the words of the book we are all forced by the spirit of the Lord to either believe in the words of God in rev 21:5-8 and the Son in Matthew 10:8 and the holy spirit in rev 22:18 is it possible that what the Father,Son, and the Holy Spirit said is true? Is this hidden in plain sight the clear and certain will of the Father? Who am I to believe the words of the book or the many pastors who believe that selling the water on tapes and cds is a good thing in the eyes of the Lord? Again Doc who do I believe?

Hi, Cem... Believe the Word (Hebrews 1:1-2). Ask the Lord for grace and mercy. Evidences of the internal reality will always be manifest externally (Matthew 7:16-20). In Him, Doc |
