SWISSK, Welcome to the forum. We very often as christians because of our stand for God and his Word are accused of being narrow minded.People want to take the easy way to God,their own way. It's never worked. Jesus wasnt narrow minded but he did have a narrow focus thus narrow is the gate. John 14:6-Jesus said to him,I am theway, the truth, and the life;no one comes to the father, but through me. Very specific.Narrow focus yes.Narrow minded, absolutly not! In Christ, lionheart |

Hi lionheart, Not many people have been interested in talking to be about "The Way, the Truth, and the Life". If that is my focus, would you say that it is too narrow? From the heart, Ray |

Not one bit my brother,The focus is narrow as it should be,that doesnt make us narrow it just means the focus is narrow ,specific.Jn 14:6 is something that we must never compromise. So my brother in answer to your question your focus, not to narrow at all. In Christ, lionheart |

5 | Are we looking for a way or the Way? | Matt 7:13 | Ray | 143563
Matthew 7:11, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!" In John 14:8 Philip said to Jesus, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." What do you think? Is knowing the Father enough of a way for us? From the heart, Ray |

6 | Are we looking for a way or the Way? | Matt 7:13 | BibleVerse | 143565
(1 John 2:15-17 NIV) Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. (17) The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. |

Hi Bible Verse, The verse you offer here shows that the Father Himself is God. How do you view the anointing from the Holy One in verse? 1) Do you go with the NASB or the NKJ for 1 John 2:27? Has "it" taught you or has "He"? Or both? 2) Who is the He Himself of 1 John 2:25, in the NASB? (For the passage speaks of both the Father and the Son.) From the heart, Ray |
