1 | Are we to pray to the holy spirit? | Matt 6:9 | Ray | 155182
Hi Hank, This beginning of a worthwhile discussion is just that, a beginning. We will be looking I would hope at some other Scriptures to compare with the truth found in Matthew 6:9. From the heart, Ray |

2 | Are we to pray to the holy spirit? | Matt 6:9 | mark d seyler | 155196
Hi Ray, When the disciples asked Jesus the same question that bjma4 asked this forum, Jesus answered: Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. How simple is that? Would you presume to add to what our Lord and Saviour and Master teaches us? We know that Stephen, as he was being martyred, prayed to Jesus, saying "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." I do not doubt that God heard that prayer. If you pray with a sincere heart, and say, "Holy Spirit, fill me with Your power!", I believe God hears your prayer. God accepts so much from us, being patient with us while He trains and teaches us. But if you ask, to Whom should I address my prayer, what can you possibly add to what Jesus answered? Love in Christ, Mark |
