1 | What does water baptism do? | Matt 3:15 | Makarios | 52652
Greetings Grace and Truth, I have been accused of many things on this Forum, but I have never been accused of not having read the Bible, until now. I read the Bible every single day. And yes, I believe that the Bible plainly teaches that you don't necessarily have to undergo water baptism in order to be saved. As you can already see, I really do not need the help of all of my resources to prove that what you are saying is not plainly supported by the Bible, since I have backed up all of my responses with Scripture references. I forgive you for writing the post that I am now finding myself writing a response to. But you will find that such accusations like "you haven't read the Bible" have absolutely no effect on such 'seasoned' Forum members like myself. Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | What does water baptism do? | Matt 3:15 | Hank | 52675
Makarios, we who read the whole Bible may not know that there are 31,101 verses in it. I didn't until I looked it up. If we subtract Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38 from this total, it leaves 31,099 verses. I thought this might be of interest to certain users who may not be aware that the Bible contains a dab more material than these two verses, in case they would like to explore other parts of the Bible. There is no charge for this statistical service. --Hank
3 | What does water baptism do? | Matt 3:15 | justme | 52749
Hank: I sincerely hope you wrote this and all your other notes and questions, with tears in your eyes. I believe that because "Jesus Wept" we are to weap also. In my theological thinking, if all believers saved their tears, in tear bottles, as they did in the old testamnet times, we could fill the baptistires. I believe I could make a strong biblical proof, for the fact the church of today should issue us tear bottles, and we should save our tears. To carry this a step further, if we are not babtized in tears are you truely saved? I am wondering is this a doctrine we have over looked? Please give it thought and let me know. agape, justme, uall |
