1 | Why is this event only in St. Matthew? | Matt 27:52 | trykkleif | 33074 | ||
In St. Matthew 27, verses 52 and 53 we read: "And the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many" This must have been the MIRACLE of the MILLENNIUM. Why is this miracle not even mentioned in the other gospels? |

Dear Trykkleif...Welcome to the Forum :-)....While it is true for all the reasons you have received in reply that there is only one Biblical record of this miracle, I do recall reading from an extra-biblical account that the dead also were seen walking around in Rome and other cities as well. It was a "famous" historian. I forget the name however. So, in this case the Bible supports the extra-biblical account. (Now I will drive myself crazy going through all the resources in order to find that historian:)) When I find it I will try to send the source to you. God Bless....Jensen |
