Hi Ken John - great observation! Could a tree wither "at once" or does the Creator of that tree have dominion over its life? (fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Mt 10:28) If by "miracle" you mean supernatural or Divine intervention, then wouldn't this be considered in that category? To me, the observation that Jesus saw a "lone tree" is significant. I also believe that the fig tree, when it had leaves, was supposed to have fruit, so this too would be important - we can't talk the talk without the walk, so to speak. We are told plainly that in the last days there will come wolves among the sheep, deceivers . . .those who "appear" to be Christians . . perhaps this relates? By their fruit, you will know them.(Mt 7:16,20) I have some other "speculations" but perhaps they are better left as just that for now. Thanks for giving me something to "chew on!" Blessings, t He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS." Heb 4:7 |

Hi Mommapbs, Thanks for your "chew." No doubt this is a Divine Miracle from our perspective because nothing is impossible with God. There is a reason for everything in Scripture so that's why studying the Word is so wonderful. Flinkywood asked a similar question and the answers were most interesting. Perhaps you will have read that string already. May I ask what your other "speculations" are ? Blessings, Ken |

Hi Ken - I hinted at that with the Scripture at the end of my post. Possibly the Lord's patience with man's lack of belief(the fruitless tree will be cut down) is soon to run out! See Mt 7:14-23. t |
