1 | Does not tithing disqualify leadership? | Mal 3:10 | Mommapbs | 22004 | ||
Yes, I agree that God loves a cheerful giver, and that the offering made in love is more honorable than the offering made out of obligation. The "tithe" is ONLY ten percent - yet it is the LORD who gives us EVERYTHING we have! In reality, it ALL belongs to Him! What we do with our gifts and talents, monetary and otherwize does fall under His scrutiny; for the Lord alone knows the intent of our heart! He alone is able to judge our motivation. Thank you, In addition if we really observe the tithe which is included in the law of moses why we are not observe the other laws. We have to be consistent. Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. We have a new covenant. Thanks for your note. Johnny |
