1 | Why is the ground declared holy? | Ex 3:5 | coavrl1 | 112536
Why is the ground holy? The land was cursed at the fall of man and everything else that has been touched by the course must be sanctified. Is it possible that this land was sanctified? If so, by what? Is it possible that it's connected to the name of the mountain as being "the mountain of God"? I, personally, don't believe that the presence of God is a valid answer because the temple had to be sanctified for God's presence to dwell there (Day of Atonement), so what makes this different? Is it? Questions...questions...questions...any answers?
2 | Why is the ground declared holy? | Ex 3:5 | EdB | 112542
coavrl1 The most correct and exact answer is because God declared it Holy and desired it so. To reason it out, it was Holy because of God's presence there. Where God is Holy is. God was there and holiness surrounded him. What is the difference between this and the temple which had to be purified? The Temple was build with human hands the earth was created by God. God made sure man realized how Holy God was by making man sanctify the temple before God would dewll there. This was an object lesson to man. EdB |
