1 | IS ELOHEIM JESUS? | Ex 24:10 | mark d seyler | 191792
Hi Rabban, I would like to offer a small correction, that YHWH would not be interchangable with "Elohim" in all instances, an example would be: Deu 28:64 And YHWH shall scatter you among all people, from one end of the earth even to the other, and you shall serve other elohim there, wood and stone, which you have not known, nor your fathers. . . . or . . . Jdg 3:6 And they took their daughters to themselves for wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and they served their elohim. So while YHWH is exclusively used of the Living God, "elohim" is also used of others. Love in Christ, Mark |

2 | IS ELOHEIM JESUS? | Ex 24:10 | rabban | 191798
Hi Mark, Thank you for your note. You will note that I said YHWH is ELOHIM. using capitals. The point was in order to indicate that it was Elohim when used of God, that is, with a singular verb. But you are of course correct. elohim used with a plural verb is used of both gods and angels (sons of the elohim) and even of an apparition. However when used with a singular verb of God He is YHWH.
