Headdoc5 - "Please answer the question specifically...I'm searching diligently" you ask of Makarios. In the first place, I having read your original question and Makarios' well-rounded, scripturally-laced answer, see your question as having been answered in an adequate manner. Why do you persist? What exactly are you looking for and why are you searching so diligently? Is it that you wish to find out whether you can practice polygamy and receive God's blessing? Well, the answer to that is an unvarnished NO. In all my 44 years of being married to one woman, it has never even crossed my mind to ask whether I could have more than one wife. What's your purpose in asking this question? Are you willing to accept the biblical answer that Makarios gave you? These are rhetorical questions and I neither expect you to answer them nor do I agree to discuss this silly proposition any further. --Hank

Hank: Everytime this questionpops up I shake my head. I have come to the conclusing that's it's time to call this kind of question what it is. sexual fantasy, and attempting to find justification for dwelling on such unpure thoughts. What then is adultery, if polygamy could be some how justified, like some Mormans do today? No man who is in his right mind would subject himself or another women (if he could find some woman to go with him on such a stupid idea) to such heartache and distruction. This would be a living hell for eeveryone concerned! I have seeen such sinful messes like this when we lived in Phoenix AZ. Almost always incest is involved and that just scratches the surface. I hope I did not over step my bounds, I just felt you might want to hear from someone who has seen this sin sick situation first hand. Blessings hank, glad you are here, I pray for your ministry here often. justme |

justme - Even if the guy who is dreaming about having a house full of wives has no moral scruples, he should at least count the economic cost! For example, my wife has (I'd guess) 50 pairs of shoes. If I had 10 wives, that's 500 pairs of shoes to buy. And that's only the beginning. Imagine having to buy 10 wedding anniversary gifts, 10 birthday gifts, 10 Christmas gifts. And with 10 wives, surely 30 children and 90 grand-children will eventually crop up. And a house large enough to accomodate all those wives and children -- well, there goes at least a million bucks. King Solomon apparently was able to get by o.k. financially, but not all of us are as well heeled as old King Sol. The guy who dreams of multiple wives is not only a moral degenerate, but he is living on Fantasy Island as well :-) --Hank

Hank:-) Then there would be a "honey do" list so long it would utterly be hopeless! King Solomon may have had head wisdom, but his heart was dumb as a Missouri mule in a corn field. Solomon just did not how to control his desire for physical things. I see no mention of Solomon ever making his life regenerated. I have often heard most feel it remained so distant from the Living God Almight, he may well have chose to choose hell. That is not very wise at all. But then any man who has more than one wife is foolish, big time. This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoyce in it. Praise the Lord. justme |
