2 | Why can't I have several wives? | Ex 21:10 | Makarios | 102318 | ||
Greetings again, Headdoc5, Your problem lies in the fact that you are equating God with polygamy, which is something that should not be done. Do you agree that the Bible is "absolute truth"? If so, do you believe this "absolute truth" to be outdated? If the Bible is "absolute truth", and there is no higher truth, then Absolute Truth in no way equals "Obsolete truth." If the Bible is indeed "absolute truth", then the Truth that it contains will never be "obsolete" or outdated. You cannot equate the practice of polygamy with God, ignoring the context in saying that "God never changes" and expect to properly interpret what the Bible states about marriage. Makarios |
