Dear Aaron, That (2 Corinthians 10:7-8) is Paul speaking to a very specific problem to the church in Corinth. This whole chapter had to do with Paul's authority to correct the congregation. Why would you think that such a verse would have anything to do with a sound heremeneutic? And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters.
