1 | felled tree Isaiah 11:1 | Is 11:1 | Makarios | 34097 | ||
Greetings Lightning56! I have read Isaiah 11:1, Genesis 49:8-12 and Genesis 49:22-26, and I see that Jesus Christ is the 'Branch', being a descendant from the line of Judah. Isaiah 11:1 confirms that Jesus is the 'branch' spoken of, since the 'branch' is from the stem of Jesse. This is the only way to interpret these passages. Blessings to you, Makarios |

Greetings young men At Gen 49 :1 it shows that Jacob is prophesying regarding the future of his individual sons linage, and you are right about Judah’s line, but when I look at the prophesy relating to Joseph, it appears to me that his line will lead to some thing far greater than Judah’s This is why I have pointed out the AND in the Isa 11 scripture, because if you think of it Judah was the tree which produced Jesus but Jacob was the root and as you can see from the fist line of Jacob’s prophesy for Joseph, he is the offshoot from the foots. Gen 49 : 22 |
