Hi keliy: Just read the thread, here are my thoughts if I may. The Lot being cast, was always to give to God the preeminance, in the decision making process, that there would not arise any preferance "for, or against, or by any man". All those taking part in the process of casting the lot, would agree to the final outcome, as being Gods Will. We in the christian world have done the same. Matt. 6:9,10 9) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10) Thy kingdom come, "THY WILL BE DONE" in earth, as it is in heaven. The differance between us, and them. Eph. 5:20 20) "Giving thanks always for all things" unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Blessings In Christ Nevvvvine |

The following statement, was made to me, in referance to MY User Profile. It was not origionaly made by KELIY. "I just read your profile, and I totally agree with your statement that most adherents to a specific denomination believe." "We have the truth, and all others are deceived" Is there one person in this Forum that can honestly disagree with my statement? I base this observation on the fact we have so many different denominations. Each one having there own set of Doctrines, and the Commintaries to prove there Doctrinal Positions. (Ergo, "We have the Truth") Did not Jesus himself teach, Mark 3:25 25) And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. So when we attempt to correct one another, are we doing it out of a love for the bretheren, for the sake of the truth to be found in the word of God, or is it that "our" Doctrinal beliefs differ from the one posting. We should always examine our motives, then reread our post, letting the Holy Spirit Censor those things that do not edify, before we attempt to correct. Mark 7:16 16) If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 2 Tim. 3:16 16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Jer. 5:21 21) Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: Matt. 15:16 16) And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Matt. 12:34 34) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? (For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.) Luke 6:45 45) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: (for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.) Mark 7:15,20-23 15) There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: (but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.) 20) And he said, (That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.) 21) For from within, (out of the heart of men), (proceed evil thoughts), adulteries, fornications, murders, 22) Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, (pride, foolishness:) 23) All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Col. 4:6 6) (Let your speech be always with grace), (seasoned with salt), that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Gal. 5:15 15) (But if ye bite and devour one another), (take heed that ye be not consumed one of another). James 3 1) My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2) For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. 3) Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4) Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5) Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6) And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7) For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8) But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9) Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10) Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11) Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12) Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. 13) Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15) This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16) For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
