2 | What was the name of Lot´s wife? | Gen 19:26 | EdB | 73920 | ||
wordoer The evidence is the people that produced your copy can not / will not produce the manuscript they translated from. Therefore they have not allowed "experts" to validate the manuscript or the validity of their translation. Every authentic manuscript from which the Bible is translated has been made available for verification of authenticity. Age was checked, writing style, material used and etc was checked to see if it conformed with the material and style common of the time. This same thing must be done with this manuscript to prove it’s validity. Until this is done in a controlled environment by unbiased experts the validity of the Book is considered false. To produce any other evidence is merely chasing a ghost that doesn’t exist. Since we do not know what would have been recorded in the book of Jasher except for the two references made to it in the Bible trying to validate what is written there is meaningless. For instance no one knows the name of Noah’s wife, your book claims it to be Oda. Since we don’t know the name how do we prove or disprove them? There have been many translations of the Book of Jasher the one I saw forgot to mention the instances mentioned in the Bible. You say you have a copy that mentions them.. Was that a correction that was made after the fact or was that a translation made from another manuscript? We don’t know therefore the original manuscript has to be produced and studied to see if it is authentic. As far as I’m concerned the issue is dead the Book of Jasher has not been found nor correctly translated. Until a manuscript dated to that time and period is produced and validated by experts that has to be everyone’s belief, if not your are willing to accept something that has not been proven credible.
