1 | Where/How to start reading the Bible? | Ps 119:11 | J2Praise | 177697
I am a new believer and am really looking to emerse myself in the word but I am not sure where to start. I'm not sure that starting with Genesis right now really makes sense for me considering the place I'm at in my life and what I am looking to find, so I'd like to start somewhere in the New Testament - any suggestions on where to start or how to go about the process of introducing myself at depth to scripture? Also, is it wrong to go into this process looking to get something in particular out of it? This isn't to say I am limiting myself to only that, but I am hoping to find particular information about forgiveness and God's unconditional love and acceptance of us (which obviously is there). I just don't know if going in with my own agenda is the right thing to do. Thanks! :)

J2Praise: Welcome to the Forum. You have the right idea. I encourage you to read the Bible. Read it over and over and become familiar with it. For a basic introduction to Christ and Christianity read: Mark, John, Acts and Romans. Grace to you, John |
