1 | Prophetic perfect tense in other verses? | Ps 102:16 | Hank | 99992
Colin - If you will, please permit me to relate my experience with Lockman and the NASB translators. About a year ago I e-mailed a question about the NASB translation of a certain passage (Ecclestiastes 12:13), and within a very few days I received a gracious letter from them along with a detailed and scholarly explanation of the Hebrew text and the reasons for the wording that NASB used in this verse. ..... Do you think it possible your message got lost in the mail or something? Perhaps you may want to consider a follow up to your question. Good luck! --Hank
2 | Prophetic perfect tense in other verses? | Ps 102:16 | flinkywood | 100039
Thanks, Hank. My question was about the use of future tenses in OT Hebrew (not the prophetic, specifically) and Lockman's handling of the English auxiliary forms "shall" and "will". I thought I'd gone the correct route. I'll try again. Thanks, Hank. Colin |
