1 | Only 144,000 virgins in heaven? | Revelation | jamine71 | 80025
Thank you for sharing these beautiful scriptures. I'd like to remind you though, that I am not a Jehovah's Witness. Nor am I "deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel". I'm simply reminding anyone who is reading this that we are not the Judge and that the way that each of us feels about our religious beliefs and understanding of The Bible is the same as others feel about their's. And that it's by love and the direction of the Holy Spirit that we will be capable of sharing the Word Of God to all who will hear and recieve it. I won't get into a debate as to who is right or wrong. -I am confident that my relationship with God is sincere, definate, and loving. In the same respect though, Who am I to say whether a person of any religious belief isn't just as dedicated and sincere about their relationship with God, as they know him? All of the scriptures that you've mentioned here are very strong and important (as are all of the scriptures in the Bible) and should be applied effectively to determine our faith and dedication to God. I've only pointed out the fact that Jehovah's Witnesses (and those from other religions) could also use these same scriptures to their advantage. For example: 1 John 4:2-3 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. All who have "intensly" studied with the Witnesses would know that they definintely believe that Jesus Christ is from God and "is come in the flesh" and that Jesus gave his life as a ransom sacrifice for our sins. They don't deny that Jesus was in human form or that he "is from God". Where the beliefs differ is that Jesus "IS" God. Just as an FYI, if you'd like to know what Jehovah's Witnesses truly believe (which I'm sure that some will check out just to have more tools to debate with and some will check out with true sincerity to find out what they believe and why) you can visit their website at http://www.watchtower.org/library/jt/index.htm I find it sad that individuals listen to other people's opinions as to what other religions, who they haven't extensively studied (whether it be for just for research, to see why other's believe what they do, or out of their own personal search for the "true" religion) believe instead of researching it for themselves. If they did, they might find alot of inconsistancy in that person's (mis)understanding of the other religion. Again, for anyone reading this, please find out for yourself what God desires of you. Please don't let anyone (including a preacher, Bible study teacher, parent, anyone...) do the research for you. It's your own responsibility to develope and cultivate your relationship with God. In the end, he will be your judge, no matter what any man has to say. Thank you again, for sharing these wonderful scriptures with us all. They all support my reason for writing my first note on this topic. That is; Galatians 1:3-5 3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 Who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. With Love.. |

2 | Only 144,000 virgins in heaven? | Revelation | Radioman2 | 80092
In plain English, The Watchtower organization (the Jehovah's Witnesses) is a cult. They deny the deity of Christ. They are teaching doctrine that is false and heretical. Their New World Translation of the Bible is obviously flawed and deliberately distorts scripture in an effort to defend their doctrines. They're not just another Christian religion. They're not a Christian religion - period. I've posted more than ample evidence to back up what I'm saying. (Use the search function. Under user name enter: "Radioman2"; under contain these words enter "Jehovah's Witness".) Moreover, you say "I find it sad that individuals listen to other people's opinions as to what other religions, who they haven't extensively studied (whether it be for just for research, to see why other's believe what they do, or out of their own personal search for the "true" religion) believe instead of researching it for themselves." Other people's "opinions"? May I point out that the sources I have cited quote Watchtower publications to show what JWs believe? If anyone believes my sources have misquoted anything or taken quotes out of context they need only to check out the references for themselves in the Watchtower publications cited. How one "feels" about the Bible is irrelevant. Being sincere in one's belief is not enough. One can take poison with the sincere belief that it is not harmful, but their belief does not change the fact that it is poison. If one has already decided that the JWs are just another religion, that their teaching is scriptural, then that person has a right to their beliefs. My motive and hope in posting the facts about the beliefs of JWs is to warn those who don't know any better, lest they, too, are deceived and caught up in error. I have no ill will toward you. Nor do I hate individual Jehovah's Witnesses. But the Watchtower organization is teaching lies that, if believed, will result in people spending eternity in hell. |

Practically all of what the Watchtower Organization as you claim "teaches" is in accordance with the Bible. The trinity, eternal hellfire and all that Jw's believe in is scriptually correct.
