1 | ___-trib satisfactory? | Revelation | Bobbie Faye | 17345 | ||
Listener, In Matthew 24, Jesus is answereing two questions. One is regarding the destruction of the temple and the other is regarding the end of the age. In regards to the end of the age, Jesus saysthat nobody knows the day or the hour except God. He does say what will happen on that day, however. He says that He will appear in the sky. He will appear on the clouds of the sky. He will send forth His angels to collect the saved from the earth. In I Thess. 4:13-18, Paul says that Jesus, himself be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. These scriptures don to have Christ returning to the earth. I do not believe that God's Word contradicts itself in any way. These two scriptures do not confirm beliefs or teachings of any kind of millenial or pre-millenial or any other kind of millenial reign as far as I can determine. Persons who do this are adding to God's word and are in danger of losing their share in the tree of life and the holy city. This is my opinion of what I have read and have studied. May God bless you, Listener. Bobbie Faye |

Schwartzkm, I sorry if I confused you. I posted three notes at the same time and my thought line was including what I had said on previous notes. However, I now realize that these notes did not get posted together as my thoughts were being put out on the posts. In my previous note, I had written that, in my opinion, people add to the words given us in Revelation. I do believe that God had a message for all of us in Revelation. I believe that the over-all message is our victory over satan because of our relationship to Christ our Saviour. I believe that the book of Revelation was written to the first century Christians because of what was said in the first paragraph of chapter 1 regarding the events to take place soon. Also in Rev. 22:6 where the angel of the Lord says that these events are coming soon and not to seal up the book of prophecy because these events will take place soon. I think if you will read what I wrote to Listener, in three different posts, you may understand better what I am saying. I am not asking you to agree with what I have to say. I am voicing my opinion and asking for comments. Thank you for your comments. Bobbie Faye |

I would agree with your assessment on the purpose of Revelations: comfort in the midst of persecution. I beleive the main theme of Revelation does apply to us as belivers--and I suspect you do to--things might get bad here on earth, but in the end He will triumph. Got to run schwartzkm |
