Bible Note: Listener, In Matthew 24, Jesus is answereing two questions. One is regarding the destruction of the temple and the other is regarding the end of the age. In regards to the end of the age, Jesus saysthat nobody knows the day or the hour except God. He does say what will happen on that day, however. He says that He will appear in the sky. He will appear on the clouds of the sky. He will send forth His angels to collect the saved from the earth. In I Thess. 4:13-18, Paul says that Jesus, himself be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. These scriptures don to have Christ returning to the earth. I do not believe that God's Word contradicts itself in any way. These two scriptures do not confirm beliefs or teachings of any kind of millenial or pre-millenial or any other kind of millenial reign as far as I can determine. Persons who do this are adding to God's word and are in danger of losing their share in the tree of life and the holy city. This is my opinion of what I have read and have studied. May God bless you, Listener. Bobbie Faye |
