1 | Resurrection Egg w/gospel Scriptural? | Matthew | poor_old_me | 187665
Not only in Matthew 3,verse 16, but also Mark 1,verse 10, Luke 3,verse 22, and John 1,verse 32, A dove is used in a symbolic way to describe the spirit of God. As long as the children are not being taught to worship the eggs I think its just an interesting way to teach them. Jesus used parables in order to relate to the people He was trying to teach, and it worked well. Remember about the mustard seed? Matthew 13 verses 30,31,32. Hope this helps. |

2 | Egg is Relevant to our Salvation? | Matthew | jfitness | 187670
If the egg could explain the resurrection more clearly, as parables do, I can see the parallel with those verses, but it does not, it would create the question 'why' use it. There is no congruency. I see the issue of relating to people, but at what cost to the Truth of our salvation? it is quite peculiar to me. But thank you for your response.
