1 | The Exodus's importance to Hebrews? | Exodus | kalos | 112125 | ||
Renovate Me: I need to clarify my previous post to you. I am not actually disagreeing with what you wrote. I'm not saying you did this, but I am saying that if it were done, it would be a mistake to overemphasize the spiritual application of Exodus to the Church at the cost of de-emphasizing its historical meaning to the nation Israel. At the same time, you do make a valid point when you point out to us the significance of the OT writings to the Church. NASB 1 Corinthians 10:11 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. AMPLIFIED 1 Corinthians 10:11 Now these things befell them by way of a figure [as an example and warning to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have reached their climax (their consummation and concluding period). Shalom, kalos |

I have always appreciated and looked forward to your responses, My eternal brother. This is why I wish to thank you for you clarification of your previous post. Your post did initially have a negative effect on me, but again, I am sensitive. It is extremely difficult to portray our message from the heart over this media, and too often we are misinterpreted. Without the benefit of body language, (accounting for 85-90 percent) it is actually impossible to accurately portray our true feelings. I find many of my posts on this Forum to be: not answered in the vein in which they are intended, but attackerd by those who feel I am wrong and they should correct my wayward thoughts. I am thanking you with my heart for your splendid response, (in multiple, as they may be) and look forward to future threads that link us together. Blessings con amore, my brother. |

Thank you for the kind words. I know what you mean about the limitations of expressing oneself in printed words only. I admit that at times I react to a post too hastily and end up sounding more harsh and brusque than I actually intended to. Grace to you, kalos |
