1 | Why did God test Adam and Eve ? | Genesis | dgaeta | 153495
Go gave them these instructions because He wanted to give them the choice to obey His instructions. Yes it was a test ot see if they would obey. They argue the point because of lack of understanding that God gives of the will to choose and with the expectation that we will choose to obey His word it is our choice he doesn't force us to obey loving Him alone should bring about obeidience. In Genisis 1 God told Adam if he ate of the tree of knowledge he would surely die and God did not mean a physical death ultimately it was a spiritual death because disobiedence brought spiritual separtaion between God and man.
2 | Why did God test Adam and Eve ? | Genesis | swerv | 153618
I agree - thanks for the response ! The result of there choice not to obey God resulted in the punishment of death. The only way we then can have eternity is to repent and show God we are willing to obey out of love and not "legalism". God's law are a blessing to us and not a curse. Keeping His law reveals our love and loyalty to God. There was a definite reason why the 10 commandments were placed inside the ark and not outside like the handwritten laws of Moses.
