21 removal of Holy Spirit Bible general Archive 4 Val 221962
The great tribulation is a time of testing for the nation of Israel. God's Holy Spirit indwells believers. The church will be raptured and the believers are taken home. It is their influence that will be gone during the great tribulation. However, as people (Israel) turn to the Lord in repentance they are sealed with the Holy Spirit. See Revelation 7:4. There are signs and wonders that occur that point them to God. The events of nature point to God. It is through these things that people seek God. One example may be the events after 9/11. People everywhere were looking to God. You saw people going to church in large numbers. You saw advertising signs quoting bible verses. This is an example of how when we cannot help ourselves and are helpless we turn to the only one who can help us - the Lord and Creator of our souls. There is an excellent study on biblical prophecy by Precept Ministries International you may check out.
22 Scripture for rapture 1 Corinthians Val 221527
Do a word search to the right you will see that feature. Do a word search on the phrase "caught up". 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 is the passage that refers to the future event called the rapture.
23 taking ones life John 3:16 Val 221526
Are you planning to take your own life?
24 Are there different levels of heaven? John 3:16 Val 221524
That is a Mormon doctrine. There is a chart that shows the differences in their doctrine and Christianity. It can be found at a website called 4truth.net. At this site go to the column New Religions and Cults. Then go to the Comparison Chart - Mormonism and Christianity. Scroll down the chart to the Doctrine of Life After Death. Christianity's biblical references are Matthew 5:12-30;25:41; Revelation 20-22.

There is just one heaven.
25 Discernment Lam 3:40 Val 221519
Do a word study on the word "examine".
Punishment as you call it is not always as a result of sin but it is best to talk to the Lord about it.
26 Are there different levels of heaven? John 3:16 Val 221517
Are you asking if there are three levels in the heaven where God's throne is?
27 help with a non believer, to understand Rom 10:17 Val 221449
The first and second passage is describing a seige. In other words it is a time of war. The last passage is regarding Moab. If you read the first five books of the bible you will find what is expected of Israel. The Lord gives them commandments on how to live. When those commandments are broken there are consequences. You may tell your friend that there are consequences for all people including himself if he does not obey the Lord's commandments given in the bible. You may warn him that those who do not believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross will suffer the consequences of being eternally seperated from Christ in a place prepared for the devil and his angels. Using the gospels you may tell him that God made a way for man to be reconciled to Himself through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. All those who put their faith and trust in Him have eternal life. Christ came to rescue us from our sins. The consequences of ignoring Christ are eternal seperation. Bringing your friend back to the cross is the only way to help them. Keep the focus on the cross.
28 What is interpretation of Hebrews 6:4-6 Heb 6:9 Val 220840
You can not have a discussion if you haven't done your homework.
29 What is interpretation of Hebrews 6:4-6 Heb 6:9 Val 220823
The first step in inductive study is to observe the text. This would cover studing the complete book of Hebrews which would includes cross references and looking up any words not understood. The second step is interpretation which would determining what the passage means. The last step is application which covers how does the passage apply to me. The author gives these practical applications throughout the book.
30 What is interpretation of Hebrews 6:4-6 Heb 6:9 Val 220814
Mark those in this passage and you see a different group of people. Verse 9 explains that they are not of the those. In other words they cannot go back to the old covenant since they are now under the new covenant. The animal sacrifices occurred once a year for atonement. When Jesus sacrificed his life it was a perfect sacrifice and occurred only once. So anyone who goes back to the old covenant is showing that theirs is not a genuine conversion.
31 Can you be pro-life but not do anything? Genesis Val 220760
In this area it was the Catholic leaders who gave their votes to a pro abortion president. They were hurt financially by the scandal of priests who were committing criminal charges against children. They hoped to bring in the immigrants to raise their financial support. Although both people running for president were pro choice, one leaned far left while the other was more center. It is the laws that lead to more abortions. To say Protestants do not do anything is simply inaccurate
32 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220696
I think your doing the right thing from my understanding of the New Covenant. Thanks for your common sense solution to a delicate subject. Good Day.
33 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220674
The tithe us not repeated in the new testment. It was given to Israel under the mosiac covenant. We are certainly told to support the church but the ways and means is left to each individual believer. To demand 10 percent is in my view legalism to me. I am under grace and liberty in the New covenant. I do not wish to debate this topic any longer. Good Day
34 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220673
I left out the 10 percent in my question. Could you reread it and respond with the 10 percent in there? Thanks
35 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220670
In my last post I was meaning the percentage, the 10 percent.
36 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220669
Civil law is government. Is it not? We have a different government than Israel had. Of course our very breath belongs to the Lord. Are you saying it is wrong and a sin for a believer not to give to the local chuch ? Just so I understand your position.
37 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220666
I have studied the book of Hebrew PUP. I have studied many books using these in depth studies. My view so far is that tithing is something that was given to Israel under the old covenant. Under the new covenant we are under grace. No where under the new covenant is there a demand for a certain percentage to be given. Rather it does say take care of orphans, widows, help the poor, take care of your family. The physical church today does not co these things rather the majority goes to pay salaries. Therefore to demand a percentage is not right. Paul never demanded money. He asked if people wanted to participate and made a case thar they should give. However my point is he did not tell them how much to give. A thorough study of the book of Hebrews shows that we are under a new covenant. As for Abraham if you can show me that this is a mandate for the new covenant I will be willing to look at it. Grace is grace. Law is law. We are under grace. Does that give us a right to sin; as Paul said May it never be. Are you going so far as to say it is a sin not to give a certain percentage or to give only to the local church? What are giving as the Lord leads, to different causes and different amounts as the individual has purposed in his heart. Good day.
38 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220665
Which do you think tithing comes under civil, ceremonial or moral? I am just going by old (Moses) covenant and new Christ) covenant. Hebrews clearly states the old was done away with. It is also referred to in Hebrews as the law. The whole bible is the believers standard of conduct. I can find no where that a certain percentage is to be given, 10 percent, or to demand that 10 percent from others. Isn't it between the believer and the Lord? To demand a percentage is legalism isn't it?
39 do u tithe on unemployment checks 1 Tim 1:8 Val 220661
Calm down Mr. Beja. If you are not in that category you have no reason to be offended. The book specifically says the law was abolished. It was for Israel. Greed is something every human being deals with. There is a verse that says take heed lest you fall. The issue at hand was tithing. No personal offense was meant to you personally. If you believe tithing is under the new covenant I simply disagee. Christ spoke much about the wolves that come in the church and dishonest gain. Many headlines today speak of people losing their life savings to these wolves. We just have different perspectives. The other subjects you mentioned would be covered in their own topics. I was speaking to the original question on the topic of tithes. Let us agee to disagree. Good Day.
