Bible Question:
I have 3 different ones, sorry. These were put to me by a non- believer. Deuteronomy 28:53 Ezekiel 4-12 Isaiah 16:11 Of course I know taken out of context, but need help with an answer. Strong words, here, and does leave one wondering, why so harsh? Help me please. Thank you in advance for all your help here |
Bible Answer: The first and second passage is describing a seige. In other words it is a time of war. The last passage is regarding Moab. If you read the first five books of the bible you will find what is expected of Israel. The Lord gives them commandments on how to live. When those commandments are broken there are consequences. You may tell your friend that there are consequences for all people including himself if he does not obey the Lord's commandments given in the bible. You may warn him that those who do not believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross will suffer the consequences of being eternally seperated from Christ in a place prepared for the devil and his angels. Using the gospels you may tell him that God made a way for man to be reconciled to Himself through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. All those who put their faith and trust in Him have eternal life. Christ came to rescue us from our sins. The consequences of ignoring Christ are eternal seperation. Bringing your friend back to the cross is the only way to help them. Keep the focus on the cross. |
