  Dear rferg,
One your question about the commandments, I would refer you to the Transfiguration (Matt17:1-9; Mark 9:2-13; and Luke 9:28-36). Then read Matt 22:37, 39; Mark 12:30-31; and Luke 10:27; and John 13:34-35. Finally read Galatians 3:22-25. All of these contain, in essence, the Ten Commandments and more. I would like to point out that there were three witnesses when GOD Himself directly gave His sole commandment to them, "This is My beloved Son. Listen to Him." The next three commandments of GOD were given through Jesus, thus indirectly given. There is this slight difference. Now, if you compare the second and third commandments of GOD through Jesus, you will note that in the second there is no requirement for our neighbor (non-Christians) to love us back, but loving back is mandatory in the third for Christians (disciples) to love us back. Though seemingly few, these NT commandments cover all that are needed to comply. What's more, they are all stated in a positive manner. "Do" is more all-encompassing and authoritative than "Don't." Please tell me what you think.

2 Is the Last Supper Jesus' Passover? John 18:28 wayhunter 71628
It looks like that, doesn't it? But this is an assumption without basis.

3 Follow: Is Last Supper a Passover? John 18:28 wayhunter 71627
  Dear Emmaus,
John 18:28 says that the Passover was going to be on that evening of the day Jesus was tried, sentenced, and crucified. Note that the Jews avoided entering the Praetorium lest they be defiled and not be able to celebrate the Passover. In fact Jesus was crucified on Preparation Day, the day the sacrificial lambs were killed for the Passover. Passover was on the evening of Preparation Day. Actually John did not say Jesus celebrated the Passover meal. John said it was a supper, and it was held on the evening just prior to the Passover evening. However, Matthew, Mark and Luke said it was the Passover. How can this be reconciled? Could it be that, because Jesus knew what going to happen that night, He celebrated "Passover" in advance?
