1 seek GODand his righteousness Matthew lillie 19709
what does it means seek GOD and his righteousness
2 seek GODand his righteousness Matthew CDBJ 19715
Hi Lillie, about the shortest answer that I can give you would be in Hebrews 11: 6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, (God) for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. (In His Word, the Bible) Tie this to John 14: 6 in ref. to Jesus being the only way. We can find the righteousness of God in his Son Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 1:30 and II Corinthians 5:21 speaking of Jesus, He (God the Father) made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin, to be made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (Jesus)
I hope this helps, CDBJ
3 what his righteouness means? Matthew lillie 19810
  what his righteouness means?
4 what his righteouness means? Matthew Searcher56 19816
Lillie, Base on this string, I think you are reffering to Matthew 6:33. The short answer is being perfect (5:48). In the Greek, righteouness is dikaiosune (living a life acceptable to God).

He said "except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees," in 5:20. In verse 17, He said He came to fulfill the Law, then says we need to practice the Law and not break it (vs 19). The rest of the chapter and most of the next, the Lord was comparing the scribes and Pharisees with Himself. They changed the Law and weren't seeking heavenly rewards or treasure.

Hope I answered your question,
Searcher
