Hi taraleigh, Possibly you misspoke when you stated, "The only sin He ever committed was on the cross,?" Christ was clearly without sin as Heb. 4:15 tells us: "For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin." I realize that 2 Cor. 5:21 says that, "He Who knew no sin, became sin for us". However that does not mean nor imply He (Christ) sinned! Quite the contrary. As Marvin Vincent notes: "Made to be sin (Gr. hamartian epoiesen). Compare a curse, Gal. 3:13. Not a sin-offering, nor a sinner, but the representative of sin. On Him, representatively, fell the collective consequence of sin, in His enduring “the contradiction of sinners against Himself” (Heb. 12:3), in His agony in the garden, and in His death on the cross." Hi Brad. I certainly do not claim to be a biblical scholar, but the way I understand it, is that in order for Christ to take the sins of the world on Himself, HE had to in fact sin...by asking God why HE had forsaken Him. I believe the scripture that you refer to about Jesus being tempted but never sinning...refers to HIS 33 years on earth. He lived the same life we did....with the same temptations, but did not sin. Thoughts??? Be blessed!

I believe Jesus was fully God, and also fully human. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 3 seperate but equal parts. Is that what you mean??

What leads you then, to the conclusion, that God can sin which would be against His very nature? WOS |
