Your problem is not masturbation your problem is you need to get married. You say you can't it will cost you too much. Matthew 16:26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? There is more here than you just you and your girl friend, think of the example your setting for your children. Then think about you Christian testimony to the World. What does it look liike to the outside world? Can't you just hear them say "look there are two "Christians" and look their living together so all this talk of marriage is just that talk." Think about the legal aspect, what if something happens to you, your girl friend may not have any of the social support because your not married. Further if one of you get seriously injured the other may not be allowed to make any critical decisions or even be allowed visitation since you not married. No my brother your problem is not masturbation your problem is your trying to live like the world and call yourself a Christian. If you trust in God then do just that, get married and start living for God. Then let God handle the small stuff like any additional expenses. EdB |

EdB, one of your endearing characteristics is plain talk: one doesn't have to guess what you're talking about. I mean it. It's an asset. I never did prize people a great deal who always are beating around the bush, talking in riddles. If the man who asked the questions, the one who is postponing his wedding until all the financial lights turn green, is reading this, I'd suggest he read all the "by faiths" of Hebrews 11. My wife and I never thought we were financially able to get married, have kids, or retire. We got married once, had kids three times, and have been retired for several years. We survive still and are happy and doing well. When a driver heads from Tampa to Atlanta, he doesn't wait, unless he's goofy, until all the traffic lights between Tampa and Atlanta turn green. Living by faith is expressed beautifully in the words of the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples, "Give us THIS day our DAILY bread." It was also He who taught His followers not to be anxious about tomorrow. --Hank | ||||||
