1 | Do ALL demons have names? | Bible general Archive 1 | copyrightpolice | 41762
In the Bible, certain angels have names...which leads one to believe (reading between the lines) that all angels have their own name. Demons are fallen angels and there is a verse in Matthew that refers to one of those demons by name. Do all demons have individual names? |

You must understand one thing. Anyone who does Satans work is a Demon. And anyone who does Gods work is an angel. So it is not a matter of a name. If you manifest goodness you are an angel regardless of your name. If you manifest evil you are considered a demon regardless of your name.

5 | Is a Christian an angel? | Bible general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 43629
Now you need Bibilical support for "An Angel is a manifestation of Goodness. A Demon is a manifestation of Evil." Isn't there only One who is called good? Does a Christian do God's work ... is he an angel? Do evil men do the work of Satan ... are they demons? Not anyone who does Gods work is an angel - there are Christians ... and maybe even non-Christians. |

NO--a Christian is not an angel. Jesus, when he answers the Saducees about the seven brothers who all marry the same woman says, "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven" (Matthew 22:30 NASB). He's speaking figuratively here. I think he's saying that in the resurrection we will have that (neither marrying nor being given in marriage) in common with the angels, but that we will still be different creatures. I think a lot of people, however, equate Christians with angels simply because nobody on earth has a real good idea of what an angel is and most people equate the goodness of angels to the next best thing to the goodness of God. You can't call a Christian "God" obviously, so do the next best thing and call 'em an angel, just to let 'em know how much you appreciate them. It's kind of a strange question, but one I've thought about, believe it or not. Sometimes my nonbeliever friends call me an angel because I do for them things that to them seem way beyond the call of duty. But to a Christian, those things are in the line of duty. |
