1 | Rebuild a Temple? | Rev 11:1 | Taleb | 78775 | ||
Searcher, you’ve proven what point again? I’ve yet to see any of your points “proven” on this thread. Did I ever deny Jesus’ “when” wasn’t in the disciple’s future? Why does "when" have to 2,000 years after the facts? Because some fiction writer who doesn’t take Jesus at His word, as so many others do? Where do you get the wild idea Jesus was talking about “1290 days and the 1335 days as future”? To put it in plain English - Jesus KNEW the 1290 days AND the 1335 days referred to times past. He KNEW IT were fulfilled during the Babylonian conquest. His Disciples KNEW the 1290 days AND the 1335 days were fulfilled. Jesus and His disciples KNEW that Daniel 9:23-27 was DUE TO BE FULFILLED, and soon. It only had 40 years to go in order to accurately fulfill what Daniel said would happen within 490 years time. This accounts for why so many false Christs that Jesus warned about took place prior to 70 A.D. The times were ripe because Daniel PROMSISED the Messiah would come - when Jesus showed up on time, that is why so many accepted Him. But when he hadn't freed them from the Roman's - well ... If your “sources dare to suggest” that Jesus was referring to the Dan 11 and 12 portions – it’s past time to exchange that erroneous material for qualified truth. Reading Daniel instead of what books say about it helps. From Daniel you can ONLY learn that Daniel prayed in behalf of God’s people. Gabriel tells Daniel about the 70 weeks from the rebuilding of Jerusalem to the death of Jesus Christ, the Messiah whose life would be cut off, would be EXACTLY 490 years. THIS IS THE PROPHECY that Jesus reminded the disciples, as they left the same temple which had been rebuilt as was going to be soon destroyed, according to DANIEL 9’s prophecy. Don’t you notice which temple they left is the one Jesus said will be destroyed as Daniel said it would in Daniel 9:23-27? What’s with the word “WHEN” in reference to proving it’s still in the future? THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS AWAY UNTIL ALL IS FULFILLED. A generation is exactly 40 years. Is it a coincidence that exactly 40 years would pass from Jesus’ death until the same temple Jesus pointed out would be destroyed? “Do you see all THESE stones, not one will be left upon another?” He sure wasn’t talking about some “future temple” that STILL isn’t. He WAS talking about what was then and would NEVER exist again. Adam Clarke states; “Most learned men agree that the death of Christ happened at the passover in the month Nisan, in the four thousand seven hundred and forty-sixth year of the Julian period. Four hundred and ninety years, reckoned back from the above year, leads us directly to the month Nisan in the four thousand two hundred and fifty-sixth year of the same period; the very month and year in which Ezra had his commission from Artaxerxes king of Persia, (see Ezra 7:9), to restore and rebuild Jerusalem. See the commission in Ezra 7:11-26” About that Roman that you don’t believe did what was done. Was History your worse subject in school, or is it you just don’t believe what it says about what the Romans did in fact do in the temple? Did you know Josephus is available to you on the internet? I copied some for you to read a little. “And now the Romans, upon the flight of the seditious into the city, and upon the burning of the holy house itself, and of all the buildings round about it, brought their ensigns to the temple (24) and set them over against its eastern gate; and there did they offer sacrifices to them, and there did they make Titus imperator (25) with the greatest acclamations of joy.” Do you have any idea what “abomination of desolation” means to the Jew? Once again I have proven my point with Scripture, HIS-story, AND FACTS from reliable sources, and not from some late great planet earth type work. :) Respectfully, Taleb |

Taleb: If you and Searcher56 would'nt mind, I have observed some interesting things. I think, after reading you threads, are you not coming from a Amilliennial understanding of of Daniel and Revelation? If so then may I suggest that perhaps Searcher56 seems to me to be, perhaps, Dispensational Premillennist. This might well account for your difference of opinions. What do you think? Peace and blessings. justme |
