1 | Leave of stay in church? | 1 Tim 3:1 | ardmore | 176025 | ||
Thanks! Bradk Many reasons, he rarely smiles,always criticizes people as though all owe him. I don't see any holy spirit's fruits although I dare not judge anybody. It a very small church, most are new believers, we just start our faith statements. Pastor insists that we must go through all the constitution, by law and faith statements. Due to such a short period, everyone has his(her) own opinions and argues each other. I am tired to be amomg hoarse quarreling except prayer. I know that there is no perfect church in the world. I know that I have obligation to serve the God and the church. However if I still stay in the church, absolutely there is no any spiritual growth tendency for me. By the way, could you please tell me who is John Maxwell? ardmore |

Hello ardmore, John Maxwell is the ex-Pastor of Skyline Wesleyn Church in San Diego (approx. 5000 members), who now teaches and writes exclusively on leadership. Pastors don't always have (or exhibit) what I call people skills! They should:-) Often, the pastor's weaknesses can be seen and therefore manifested more visibly in a small church. It may be a reason why it's small? Keep on praying for him and seek the Lord's direction for you. Leaving the church I was saved in turned out be be a huge blessing- though it was hard to see it at first. Has anyone else noticed or commented on his behavior? Maybe you should pray about confronting him in love? As your pastor, he should be open to concerns of the congregation- assuming you approach it with the right motive. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
