Bible Question (short): Can a "known" angry man be an elder? |
Question (full): Someone please help me. Our church is coming upon its annual meeting where we will be electing new leaders. A man was placed on the nominating committee who is prone to "blow up" in anger from time to time. His outbursts are usually long and heated. Doesn't the Bible caution us against angry men? I have expressed my concern to an elder and he said the man would not be allowed to be put on the ballot but now I see he is. As of now, we do not have a pastor. This particular "angry man" was one of the vocal persons who verbally attacked our pastor when he was with us. Should I be concerned here? |
