1 | Show me the money | Phil 4:19 | BARBAQUED | 171932 | ||
Praise God, thank you for my abundance on this earth and in the world to come. Often I hear religion is a sales game where fees are paid for services not rendered until death. The customers always satisfied because none have returned to complain. Why is it so difficult for us to recognize Gods hand in our accomplishments? What is God’s word for assuring us of abundance on this earth? |

Hopefully I didn’t misunderstand you. If you’re speaking of spiritual abundance, then yes, Christ says “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 But if you’re speaking of material abundance, then the Bible also speaks about that: Luke 9:23 And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” Matthew 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Hebrews 13:5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," Ocelot |

Peace be with you, and thank you for your reply. Your answer implies one must be poor to be born again. Does God want us to be poor? Or does God want us to look to him as the source of all that makes us prosper. Does God want to make us wealthy spiritually and materially? 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. “When john said we should prosper and be in health, he added the phrase, “Even as thy soul prospereth”. Man is a spirit; he has a soul consisting of the mind, the will and the emotions; and he lives in a body. Thus, there is spiritual prosperity; there is mental prosperity; and there is physical prosperity.” The law of Prosperity by Kenneth Copeland |

2 Corinthians 11:23-30 (23) Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one--I am talking like a madman--with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. (24) Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. (25) Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; (26) on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; (27) in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. (28) And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches. (29) Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant? (30) If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. |
