1 | tongues | Eph 4:14 | Brendac | 153848
When you have been baptised in the Holy Spirit and you have the evidence of speaking in other tongues you must remember it will only be one word at a time maybe. When a baby starts learning to talk they start with one word at a time. If you just keep on in your praying repeating that word that you have got, your tongues language will increase. So don't give up! |

Now, Brenda, surely you don't claim to have any scriptural doctrine behind your post, supporting it, do you? How did you arrive at this 'one-word-at-a-time' business? Brenda, what is your understanding of baptism in the Holy Spirit? Would you define it and, if you are able, cite some scriptural references? You're suggesting to this questioner that he keep repeating his nonsense words 'holocalumba' and 'holocabolo' in order that his "tongue language" will increase. Why? If these words don't mean any more to you folks in South Africa than they do to us in the USA, what good would it do to add additional words of babble that make absolutely no sense? If you can justify your advice to this questioner with appropriate scriptural references, fine -- I'm willing to hear you out. But if you can't -- and I frankly don't believe you can -- then you have given this user a bit of bad advice, don't you think? I appreciate the opportunity, Brenda, to greet you and exchange thoughts with you from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, USA to your abode in South Africa on the "other side" of the world! And I do look forward to your response. Yours in Christ, --Hank
