Joyce, you seem to want to support your man and continue to be a true companion to him and that is truly commendable. That said, you are correct in finding that some of the practices of the Catholic church are not biblical. You mentioned praying to saints. This is a form of religion that keeps the practitioner from becoming intimate with God due to his perpetual feeling that he hasn't been "justified" by God's grace and commanded to "come boldly before my throne." You continue in to spend time with your Lord and keep asking for "the Spirit of revelation so that you might know him better" and He will continue to make you wise. You also have a position in Christ to contend for you husband that he be shown the truth by God's Spirit. So you go girl. Have intimacy with your Father b/c you understand the atoning work of the Son. And go ahead; take you stand, being dressed in the armor of God, defeat the devil's plan for you husband also.

You are the only unmarried christian who finds my actions commendable. The other singles I shared with in my circle of contacts thinks that I should stand up for Christ instead of my man. Well, I used to feel guilty for failing to stand up. As I read the scriptures I was happy to know God hates divorce and sees divorce as equivalent to a heinous act Malachi. In a marriage, we just need to stand up for our faith in spirit and obey the law of love, right? Some of you has already guided me to read 1 Cor 7.
