1 | explain the doctrine of predistination | Rom 9:13 | DocTrinsograce | 165066 | ||
Hi, Shythiyl... Yes, I fully agree with your statements. Well said, by the way! What I'm trying to do is to properly state Tim Morant's beliefs to his own satisfaction. I do not espouse those beliefs in any way. But up until now, I've had little success getting them adequately spelled out. Furthermore, if we are to contend for the truth in a fashion that rightly reflects the character and nature of our Lord, we must be able to accurately express the views of others rather than misrepresent them. You've come onto the scene in the midst of that effort. :-) Ours is about careful, open, and honest study of the Word of God. In the world's arena they use various techniques to win arguments. Most of those techniques are beneath the honor and dignity of God. We, as believers, are not to be interested in winning debates. Instead, we are interested in rightly handling the Word of God, and replacing our error with the truth. in Him, Doc |

Thank you Doc. Rightly dividing the Word should be the first and foremost desire of all who speak it. Otherwise, silence would be wisest. "Careful, open and honest study..." If this is the goal of all herein, I have found my haven. Unfortunantly though, this seems to be the desire and/or claim of most of these sights, rather than the actuality one is faced with after participation. |
