1 | Islamic View of Crucifixion? | John 1:4 | Taleb | 98990
The "Crusades" predate Islam. The book of Judges predates Christ. How far back must one go to recognize that the world is the same as it was all of the yesterdays. Men have always done what it right in their own eyes. It is and always has been brutal. In my lifetime, and I will admit it has been a long one, we have fought war after war after war after war after war after war. Some people kill people in the "Name of Freedom." Some kill people in the name of “God”. What do we call what the Israelites did to Christians who opened their arms, and homes to a ravaged people before they "became a nation"? Most of those thousands slaughtered were Palestinian Christians. Women were raped. Children were butchered and bulldozed over. And, less we forget, that refugee camp in Lebanon. I served in the U.S. Navy years ago. Remember when Israel attacked the United States in June 1967? So do the widows of the U.S.S. Libery. Your statement, “most part a ture Muslim is taught you either convert to Islam or you should die” makes me ask - how is it that for centuries Muslim and Christians lived side by side with the Jews – until Israel stormed in? They even fought side by side numerous times. But most importantly it reminds me of Jesus’ command - “Love your enemies”. Every Muslim that I know has only been won to Christ the same way I was won. Someone loved on me with unconditional love. I don’t “tolerate” killing people – I just tolerate all people. Blessings, Taleb |

2 | Islamic View of Crucifixion? | John 1:4 | EdB | 99012
Taleb You obviously have and anti Israel perspective. Let me say one thing Israel is and will always be God's chosen, you can stand in opposition to the first covenant if you want and try to justify Islam but I don't buy it. Islam was born in blood, was spread by blood and exists many places today in blood. Everyone wants to discuss the Crusades as an example of Christian holy war. Come on anyone with even a minimal amount of historical knowledge knows the crusades where more political and adventuresome than religious. You try to incite emotions by bringing up Israel’s attacking the USS Liberty a tragic mishap but certainly not an example of Jewish religion out of control. Israel was fighting for their very existence and were shooting at anything that moved. I guess you would say the horrible incident where the American planes bombed the Canadians is classic example of Christianity run amok. You talk about the rape of Lebanon and the killing of Christian Palestinians when in fact it was the Israel defending and protecting them from calculated extermination by political forces within Lebanon and Syria. Sure some were killed in the fighting by Israeli gun fire and bombs but look how many French citizens were accidentally killed as the allies freed their land. War is not pretty. You ask how many years did Arabs and Jews live side by side, if you read the Bible you know that God has clearly stated there would always be animosity between the two nations. Once again you pull the discussion down to individual level and I have clearly stated as a Christian we are to love Muslims, to share Jesus with them and show them what real Christianity is. However we should never forget that Islam desires to eliminate us from the face of the earth. EdB |
