1 | Is anything in the bible proven untrue | Ps 119:160 | ateo | 67514
Hank, "...I infer that you prize the academe..." You inferred correctly. I do prize knowledge above all else. I'd like to tell you why, but unfortunately, as Reformer Joe has pointed out, I'm not allowed to on this forum. Therefore, I'll tell you the same thing I told him. If you'd like to discuss anything 1-on-1, then feel free to send me an e-mail anytime. (jl_huff2002@yahoo.com) I really wasn't trying to fool anyone. I was referred to this website by a Xian friend of mine. My hope was that I could engage in some thought-provoking discussions with Xians. I'm very sorry that you think I was trying to deceive anyone. Again, that was never my intention. Please, accept my sincere apology ateo |

2 | Is anything in the bible proven untrue | Ps 119:160 | Hank | 67536
ateo: If indeed you are what your name says you are, an atheist, how do you presume to identify with a group of Christian believers who to this web site come to fellowship with one another and engage in what they consider the noble enterprize of learning more about the Bible, a book they consider the living word of the living God? I believe that two general statements are true of the majority of Christian believers: [1] They are by and large not averse to secular knowledge and wisdom, but [2] they are not bowled over by it either, for they march to a different drummer, the Mighty God, the Creator and Lord of the universe. So then I ask, and you may feel free to answer with impunity, What is an atheist doing on a Study Bible Forum? Does he come as a seeker after something, perhaps the God in whom he does not believe? Or does he come with an agenda dedicated to an attempt to be able to write "Q.E.D." after each point on which he believes he has made fools out of gullible believers? Sir or madam, your reason for being here is something that is of importance and concern to this forum and will determine in large measure the length of your sojourn here. --Hank
