Nolan and Norrie, the notion that Mary Magdalene was a loose woman was strongly suggested in the heretical musical, Jesus Christ, Superstar and may well have served to perpetuate the rumor. The idea is, as you say, not supported by Scripture. It is nothing short of an eternal tribute to this fine woman that it was she, along with the "other Mary" (the mother of James the Less) to whom the Risen Christ first appeared. --Hank | ||||||

I remember hearing about Mary M being a prostitue before JC Superstar. My aunt's name is Mary M and that was my confirmation name. :) | ||||||
